Jennifer has expressed her passion for working with people throughout
her career as a Therapeutic Recreation and Movement Specialist.
She began her career working in Skilled Nursing Facilities and
local YMCA's, developing fun and creative programs for children,
adults and the elderly as a way to elicit physical, emotional,
cognitive and social changes. She believes that by utilizing
non-threatening and enjoyable activities, participants, both
individual and in groups can feel safe, supported and can elicit
changes without the struggle of the low motivation factor!
Specifically, in her work in movement and dance,that which
began as hobby at the age of 4, she has found that powerful
emotions
can be
expressed in a more authentic form. In a fun, interactive forum,
movement provides the outlet that many conversations, with
the assistance of
the ego guard, cannot truly reach. Not to mention that movement is
our first language! Movement is rich in individual stories and as
well can create strong communal bonds. We have all "moved" all
of our life so we are well versed, making it the perfect healing modality!
Movement work is based on the premise that the body and mind are interrelated.
Traumas and smaller problems are often held in the body in the form
of muscle tension and limited movement patterns. This state of the
body can affect one's feelings and attitudes towards his/her life.
Jennifer works with individuals to get in touch with their bodies through
listening and feeling what their bodies are telling them. They are
our best teachers if we learn to listen! Most people look outside of
themselves to "the experts" to tell them what they, themselves
already know! Jennifer helps her clients to realize this as well as
to feel comfortable in and love their bodies...our sacred homes. She
helps her clients to identify their blockages that may be keeping them
from a truly inspiring life.
Facilitating movement has gently and naturally guided her to
the field of holistic nutrition and wellness. As a graduate of
the Institute
for Integrative Nutrition, Jennifer has been able to expand her movement
offerings and develop a nourishing wellness practice. Are you confused

through her guided study through all the current dietary theories,
she has
blessed the nutrition contradictions for they have shown that there
is no one "right" way of eating for everyone! Additionally,
there are no "good" or "bad" foods, they are just
