Kids Expo Dinner/Fundraiser
Let's put an end
to childhood obesity! Are you aware that in 2005, almost
one-third of American kids are considered overweight, and
nearly one is six is obese? This is putting our children
at higher risk for health problems such as hypertension,
asthma, and diabetes (to name a few). The most immediate
consequence of overweight as perceived by the children themselves
is social discrimination. This is associated with poor self-esteem
and depression. To combat this crisis, a charitable non-profit
organization has been formed called "pHat Free Nation" to
eliminate childhood obesity and under-nutrition by the year
