“Lose
Something this New Year…”
If you are like most people, you have made some resolutions for the New Year.
This may include doing something or not doing something; being a “better” person,
reaching some lofty goal, and a myriad of other self-promises. This is all well
and good. Well thought out goals are often the beginning of great things. Our
world is a better place probably because of many New Years resolutions that were
made and reached. However, there is another way to look at the New Year. Perhaps
now is the time to lose something you’ve been holding on to. Maybe you
set some goals that no longer serve you or, they don’t fit you anymore
and they just don’t feel right. Perhaps now is also the time to let go
of goals and expectations that have been set for you by others. Perhaps now is
the time to live for yourself and all that you love and desire and deserve. On
this New Year, let go of the weighty, the boring and draining things and just
allow yourself to “BE”. Perhaps by losing something this year, you’ll
find your true self. Now,
