So often
we will look at a person or a situation and think that we
know so much about them. We think we can size up a situation
and know the facts, or determine the personality or potential
of a person and know their feelings or thoughts… simply
by looking at them. When we use a beautiful example of nature,
the iceberg, we know that the part that is visible on the
surface is only a small portion of the enormity of the iceberg.
Below the surface lies the beginnings, the inner workings,
the pressure, the hard core or soft center. There is no way
for us to know this unless we look beyond the surface, dig
deeper and have much patience. Are you quick to judge people
and things from the surface? A hard exterior may cover a
mushy center or an “old softie” may be rock solid
inside. Are you willing to look beyond the surface? Now, that’s Powerful!
