A Letter from our Founders

Powerful You!   It’s exactly how we see people ~ as powerful individuals, powerful creators and brimming with possibility. We founded the company in 2004 as a way to serve women in business. Our dream is one of contributing to the professional, personal and spiritual growth of women, assisting entrepreneurs to the realization of their goals and raising the consciousness of our global community.

Our inspiration came from several experiences we had as entrepreneurs, in the corporate world and in various networking situations. What we learned as entrepreneurs is that many women who work for themselves “don’t get out much”. Many women work from home or are simply too busy wearing so many hats, that their only human contact is in the form of emails and phone conversations. Since we all have a basic need for connection, it seemed like such a natural thing to create a space for women to meet other women in business for ideas, guidance, support and even friendship.

In the corporate world, we found that women have a desire to connect on a personal level as well as a professional level and that it is necessary to spend some time developing key personal relationships with other women outside of our jobs. These relationships support us on many levels. They also provide key contacts for our professional growth and development.

It is our desire that women who attend Powerful You! meetings feel totally welcome and comfortable, whether it’s their first time or hundredth time with us. Our group has the rare combination of professional and growth-oriented stimulation coupled with a warm and cozy feeling. It is something that must be experienced to be understood. We call it “Networking with a Heart”.

We are told by many of our members that their favorite part of the meetings is “Business Growth and Everyday Gratitude”. In this segment, we share important business growth stories and tips, and deepen our relationships and understanding of each other by sharing gratitude. It is our intention that sharing gratitude as part of the networking meetings creates a bond and even a love within the group that extends out into the world.

Powerful You! recognizes and honors the differences between networking with men and women together compared to a women’s only group. Different conversations take place and a different level of openness exists when women meet other women for the first time. Barriers are dropped, competitiveness vanishes and a real sense of camaraderie and sharing occurs. Powerful You! honors this wonderful distinction and uses it as a catalyst for growth.

One of the things that makes our group different than others is that Powerful You! is the primary focus of its Founders. It is our mission to make a difference in the lives of women all over the world. Our diverse backgrounds are uniquely suited to this, and our passion for creating connections is second only to our thirst for promoting self-development and strategic relationships.

It is our primary goal to assist as many women as possible and therefore, we have consciously decided to keep our meetings accessible and our membership affordable. An important feature of Powerful You! is that the membership price is less than most other networking groups. The member benefits provide great value. Additionally, if a woman chooses to attend meetings and chooses not to join, that’s okay with us. This benefits the members who consistently attend the meetings by expanding their contact circle. Of course, we encourage women to join and attend meetings each month, because that is the basis of developing strong and meaningful relationships.

We know that relationships are the most important factor in people doing business with each other. We know that people do business with people, not companies. We also know that people choose to do business with people they know, like and trust. Belonging to the Powerful You! Women’s Network group is a wonderful way to build these relationships.

We also recognize the importance for everyone in business, whether you are an entrepreneur or part of a corporation, to have an internet presence. It is with this in mind that we designed our Member Profile pages. Each page is searchable through the world wide web to provide maximum exposure for our members and their businesses. We have added three things that most other networks have not. First, our member profiles are a full web page and are complete with a photo and logos. Second, they are available to everyone who visits our website (not just members). Third, the profiles are searchable by titles and keywords. This benefit allows for maximum growth of your business whether you have a website or not.

We love assisting women in the growth of their business and personal lives. We love seeing the passion of a dream turned into a successful, fruitful business. And mostly, we love the opportunity to serve the world in the best way we know how.

We are truly grateful for the connections, relationships and friendships we have made through Powerful You!, and we look forward to meeting each of our members around the world.
